Way to remove audio from screen recordings

I just ran into the surprise audio recording issue a few others have noted. It would be handy to have an option to strip out audio from recordings after the fact to cover cases where we've forgotten or not noticed the mic was recording.

I am re-recording my capture clip now because I forgot to turn off the audio recording.

Nice to see this is now marked planned.

I missed the question here back in December, sorry about that. I think an option setting for default on/off would also be useful but in concert with also being able to strip out audio after the fact.

Ian Halliday Excellent idea. Thank you so much for sharing. If you don't mind me asking, we were also thinking of potentially adding a setting where you can select if you'd like your microphone to be on or off by default. Would it fix this for you or you'd rather have a way to remove audio from a video? Thanks!
