Hey Bryan Matias-- apologies, a known issue on our end, where 'PrintScreen' is the default shortcut but you're not able to manually enter it in after you've cleared it. Checking to see if there is a workaround on this one in the meantime to get it back.

Hey Bryan Matias -- if you run this command, you should be able to reset your shortcuts, and PrintScreen should be there by default: rm ~\AppData\Roaming\Dropbox-Capture\
Also, in the next app version (being release around Jan 16) -- we'll also have the ability to sync OS screenshots -- so if you press PrintScreen, you'll see an option to enable using existing OS shortcuts, and these screenshots will automatically sync to Capture.
We'll also look to fix this issue with allowing PrintScreen entry-- thanks again for flagging!

Karan Khanna: Hi -- I'm having a similar problem -- and I can't find ave a folder called Dropbox-Capture in Roaming -- the closest are Dropbox and DropboxElectron. Should I be looking somewhere else?
(I've just tried uninstalling and re-installing, but the shortcut for Screenshot remains Alt+s)
Capture version is 92.0.15 -- windows 11 Home 21H2
Thanks

Hugh Gerechter: Hey! If you go into Preferences, do you see a switch called 'Automatically sync OS screenshots'? If so, and you enable it, you should be able to use PrintScreen and have screenshots saved to Capture.
Aside from this I'm also checking to see if we have another workaround while we fix this.

Karan Khanna: Sorry -- not on my list -- same version -- is that weird?
Youcef Es-skouri
Hugh Gerechter: Could you try now? Just make sure you are on v95 of the app. It should be there. Let us know if not. Thanks!

Youcef Es-skouri: Sorry for the delay -- I checked and the option to 'automatically save OS screenshots' was there -- I enabled it. Now tapping PrintScreen still brings up the system snipping tool, but once I've made a selection, the screenshot appears in the Capture app. Is this what you expected?
I still can't directly choose the PrintScreen key as my shortcut for Capture.
Youcef Es-skouri
Hugh Gerechter: correct, that is expected. You will then be able to take screenshot with your snipping tool but your screenshots will be synced on Capture and you will see the notification window showing up from where you can markup your screenshots. Does this work for you? Thanks!

Youcef Es-skouri: Yes, that will work -- thanks for the update

same, also I liked the previous shortcut better shift+alt+S
Karan Khanna
David Gubbay: Thanks for the feedback, curious-- why do you prefer the Shift+Alt+S versus the printscreen key? You can change back to the Shift+Alt+S by opening the app, clicking the three-dot menu, going to Preferences, and then going to 'Shortcuts' and changing it there. Let me know if this works!
David Gubbay
Karan Khanna: thanks for the info! I prefer the shortcut because I can do it without looking at my keyboard. I need to actually look for the print screen button so it's less intuitive. By the way if you guys ever dream of discontinuing Capture I will sue you... :D
Best screen capture solution out there.
Karan Khanna
David Gubbay: Makes sense, good to know-- thanks for the helpful context!
Appreciate the kind words-- don't worry, we're not going anywhere -- only getting better :)
